Spinning Border Leicester


I dyed this beautiful fleece in shades of red. I actually used different reds to get the effect.

Border Leicester locks are a lot more dense than other tools. I used this carder cleaner with fine teeth to open the locks. It's a tiny tool that works well.

Just look at those teeth! I got a close up of what a lock looks like when opened by this tool.

This wool spun up so nice...

It is soft with tiny little locks that come out giving it quite a bit of character.

Finished and set just in time for the Fiber Festival of New England! Come by this weekend if you're going to the fair!!!
